Drug Detoxification Center in Reno Boosts Mental Health Services

and is the subsidiary of Signature Health Services, LLC, which has 16 hospitals across six states.

Reno Behavioral Healthcare CEO Steve Shell stated that he is communicating with community leaders to determine if his hospital will take over the services left over from WestCare. He also indicated that state budget cuts don’t affect the drug detoxification center since it is privately funded.

Shell highlighted that many Reno residents in the past would commute to the treatment centers in Sacramento, San Francisco or Las Vegas. He is hopeful that the new drug detoxification center will ease some of the drive for people.

He added that they have numerous experts who are trained to determine what a patient needs and assist them. The goal, he said, is to raise the standard of healthcare in Reno.
