New Addiction Treatment in Cody, Wyoming Targets Painkiller Abuse

implementation of several efforts in the state that not only aim to expand addiction treatment services but also to educate the community members about the local impact of the opioid epidemic.

A number of these educational efforts have been introduced to the community by organizations such as the Cody Regional Health, which has provided a platform and the space for group meetings, screenings, fundraisers, discussion panels and more.

On April 24, a lecture will be hosted by Cody Regional Health at its West Park Hospital location to introduce the new addiction treatment program and address the best evidence-based practices for substance use disorder relapse and prevention.

Hess will be the main speaker at the event and will focus on three topics: the disease of addiction, treatment approaches, and relapse prevention.
