The case management team has also been working on a set of protocols to better respond to the drug overdoses and provide support to members of the community who are at risk of overdosing.

The officials explained that Arlington has roughly 240,000 residents, thus the fact that less than 400 sought drug rehab and recovery programs services last year may not seem very alarming, but the percentage of the increase is concerning and the reason why they are acting now.
